Control panel still reports no information for the jack, and there are no seperate level controls for the jack but it does respond to the master volume level. I'm still getting sound through speakers and headphones after several reboots so it all seems to have settled in. However, I've persisted, and everything now seems fine. Also, one time it appeared to work, and then after rebooting there was no sound at all, not even through the internal speakers.
